Dr. B.J. Lommerts     Chief Executive Officer, Bert Jan Lommerts holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry and a MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen. His career at Akzo Nobel Central Research spanned over a period of more than a decade, where he served as a Research Scientist, Project Manager for various International Research Projects, including a sabbatical at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and as the Plant Manager for Aramid Products. He has also served as Director of the Human Health Supply Chain in the pharmaceutical industry. He subsequently took a position with LATEXFALT B.V. as Managing Director of that newly formed merger of three companies. His technical and business experience has been instrumental in establishing a new and ambitious "strategy for modernization and growth" for the company. Furthermore, he is advisor for the entrepreneurship program at the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e) and he is member of the board of various International Associations.
     
Dr. C.W.M. Bastiaansen   Chief Technology Officer, Kees Bastiaansen has approximately 10 years industrial experience in new business development (DSM). The last 10 years he was an associate professor in both Switzerland (ETH-Zuerich ) and The Netherlands (TU/e). He is also a visiting professor at Brown University ( Providence, Rhode Island, USA ). He is co-inventor of ~40 international patent applications and ~100 refereed publications. In the last year, he was awarded the "Most Entrepreneurial Scientist of the Year Award (2 nd price)" (Science Alliance) and the "Piet Lemstra Innovation Award" (DPI). He is co-founder of Omlidon Technologies ( Zuerich , Switzerland ), Novameer BV (Veghel) and Validus BV ( Eindhoven).
     
Dr. M.G. Debije   Michael Debije holds a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Rochester, Rochester ,New York and a Masters in High Energy Physics from Iowa State University, Ames Iowa. He is currently a senior researcher at the Technical University of Eindhoven in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, working on luminescent solar concentrator technology, for which he has applied for two patents. He has over 25 publications in international journals to his credit.
     
Ir. A. Ledeboer   Bram Ledeboer of Altran Technologies Netherlands is project leader for the support that Maxxun won through the Altran Foundation for Innovation Award in 2006 (www.altran-foundation.org ).
